Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport recognized with IABC Gold Quill Award of Excellence and Best of the Best Award at IABC World Conference 2025

The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) recognized Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport with two top Gold Quill Awards during its 2025 World Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia this week. The Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport 2023 Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) report was awarded a 2025 Gold Quill Award of Excellence in the “Publications” category, while its inaugural Girls Take Flight event was recognized as the 2025 Best of the Best Award Winner[1] in the “Special and Experiential Events” category.

The project was led by PortsToronto and steered by a collaborative planning committee with representation from key partners across the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport campus – including Nieuport Aviation, Stolport, and Porter Airlines.

Recognized for its strong exhibitor participation, effective community engagement and high attendee satisfaction, the inaugural Girls Take Flight event exceeded expectations, featuring 32 organizations in its exhibit hall, 12 inspiring speakers, 14 aircraft on display and 100 free exploration flights – bringing flight to life in a big way for more than 3,700 participants.
