The Canadian Public Relations Society has named the ESG report on operations at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport in 2023 “best publication” in its annual Achieving Communications Excellence (ACE) Awards.

The Canadian Public Relations Society has named the ESG report on operations at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport in 2023 “best publication” in its annual Achieving Communications Excellence (ACE) Awards. The report, written, designed and published by PortsToronto in collaboration with Nieuport Aviation, details the commitment of the airport and its partners in operating a cleaner, greener and quieter airport, and advancements made in enhancing efficiency, minimizing its environmental impacts and adopting sustainable technologies under a net-zero roadmap.

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is an essential transportation gateway and welcomes millions of travellers each year. Recognizing the airport’s importance to Ontarians and visitors alike, this new, expanded ESG report provides enhanced data and disclosures measuring environmental, sustainability and governance practices at the airport, particularly those that stakeholders consider to be most significant, such as safety and security, occupational health and safety and waste management.

The ESG report was recognized for its comprehensive content coupled with innovative delivery. Offering a complete overview of operations and sustainability measures at Billy Bishop Airport, the report includes extensive technical reporting, prefaced by an introduction featuring engaging interactive graphic and video elements that illustrate the highlights of the report.
